Office outing

[day 29]

Today was not a normal office day for all of us in the International Programs. We took a trip to Little Rock to attend the Arkansas Remembers Pearl Harbor 75th Anniversary ceremony. It was special to be able to honor this day in history with my co-workers. We encourage students to study and travel all over the world every single day in our work and we would not be able to do that without the freedoms we have in this great country. We are deeply and greatly thankful for all of our servicemen and women.

After the ceremony, since we were already in Little Rock, we took the opportunity to take our office Christmas card photo... at the airport. Hopper (our dean, boss, fearless leader, papa.. anything leader like) had the idea of having our Christmas photo taken at the Delta check-in counter because we are the study abroad office and we use Delta a lot. Of course, it was awkward but funny as always. Thankfully it was a slow travel time so we didn't get too many odd looks while I remotely trigged my camera that was on tripod in the middle of the lobby.

It's hard to accurately describe the office dynamics. Let me just put it this way, we call ourselves the awkward family. Welcome to the family, Steven! We are so glad to have you on board! (get it? haha)

Side note: Hopper asked for me to caption the photo above, "I guess you get turned away if you don't actually have a ticket."

Until our next awkward family outing, enjoy.
