The sun is setting as I walk out the door every day after work which makes it is hard to get out and do something adventurous during the work week. So, I try to take advantage of any weekday I get off. For MLK day I decided to go on a hike, my usual passtime. To my surprise, Sara asked if I wanted company, and of course, I wouldn’t pass up having her around!
Because Sara had never been to Petit Jean State Park, I decided that would be the place we would journey for the day. What a perfect day to be in the park! We basically had the place to ourselves which seems to be rare these days. We hiked down to Cider Falls, walked the Bear Cave trail, saw the Rock House Cave, and ended at the Cedar Creek Canyon overlook taking in the beautiful scenery.
I am incredibly thankful for any time I get out in nature especially with such a good friend.
Enjoy.
