Family matters

Family matters… so much. Today especially showed this Truth. This morning, Steph and I left her home in Missouri and headed to Tennessee. It wasn’t a typical farewell. Stephanie’s mom is selling their house so it was the last time Steph would be in it. It was a bit emotional…she and her family have lived here since she was in kindergarten. All her memories are here on Woods Edge. Family matters.

On the drive to Nashville, we reflected on just this. We got to my brothers house and we’re greeted by my niece and nephew. They’ve all welcomed in Steph as their own. Savannah had no problem talking Steph into letting her do her hair. It was awesome. I love these sweet moments together. Again, family matters.
