I got home at dusk and saw lots going on around the house. Abba (my dad) was putting stuff away in the shed, Ima (my mom) was mowing, and Richard (my bother) was washing his bike by the back door. I wasn’t planning on photographing any of it but I just really liked something about the evening light. Then I had the idea to hit my car key unlock button so that my car lights would light up behind Rich as he washed. That idea got even better when he turned the bike on and all of the water on the pipes immediately evaporated. The simple things that can greatly improve an image make me happy.
