Davis Day

Today, Davis didn’t have school (he only goes a couple days a week). So, after spending a little time with his dad (my brother), we dropped Savannah off at school and we went on a hike! He loves hikes, but it’s funny with kids because he associated “hikes” with a very specific walk he goes on with my dad (his granddad) every time he visits. So towards the end of our decently long, actual in-the-woods hike, Davis said, “are we going to go on the hike now?!” Oh goodness. I tried explaining to him that we had been on the hike the whole morning haha. Oh well, hopefully I didn’t disappoint him too much. After the hike we went to lunch at this favorite place……….. Subway. I must really love him because I happily went to Subway when there was a perfectly wonderful Chick-fil-a next door… or for that matter, there were plenty of really great options all over other than Subway. hahah! But he loved his plain ham and cheese sandwich with Cheetos and for that I was happy. After a perfect half day with Davis, we picked Savannah up at school and spent the rest of the day home with the family. I loved my Davis Day.
