[day 778]
This Christmas morning was spent very differently than past years. I spent it with another family in town from our church. They are going through a very hard season because of a health issues. They have lots of precious little kids so I have been spending some time photographing life at home over the last few weeks (I haven’t been sharing any of the photos simply because I want them to be for the family to share, if desired). I asked if they’d like me to photograph their crazy Christmas morning together as a family and they said yes. It was truly a delight to be a fly on the wall in their home this morning as they shared the excitement of opening gifts and sharing time together. I praise God for opportunities to use the gift He gave me in this way.
Then it was back to my house for a family Christmas lunch! No photos of that really. I ended up taking a few family photos for part of my family and ended the night taking a walk on Harding’s University’s beautifully lit campus with my dad, cousin and his wife and baby. It was quite a simple day but I loved it. Christmas is my favorite holiday and simply spending it sharing love and experiencing love is the very best way I can think of to celebrate the birth of Christ.
