Bridge speeches

It is tradition on UB trips that the students going onto college in the fall give speeches. In Upward Bound, students who have just graduated high school and are going onto college have the opportunity to take a Harding course during their inbetween summer that is called “Bridge.” It is basically a bridge between high school and college for them. This year, I was honored to get to know both Brendan and Lyzette who were the Bridge students. Their speeches made people cry—especially Steph. They were so very touching! I am SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF THEM—who they are and where they are headed in life.
